You will be picked up at the airport in Santa Marta for your transfer to the beach hotel. During the transfer, your guide will tell you more about the region and the many beautiful beaches in the area. You will have time to rest upon arrival at the hotel.

Your guide and driver will pick you up early in the morning and drive to the entrance of the Tayrona Park. Upon arrival at Cañaveral you and your guide will walk along a forest path for about 60 minutes until you reach the first beach, Arrecifes. After a short rest we will continue for another 30 minutes to the beach Piscina, followed by another 20 minutes hike along the coast to Cabo San Juan, the most famous beach of the Tayrona Park. During the hike you will see and hear birds and monkeys and learn more about the flora and fauna.

Upon arrival at the Cabo San Juan beach you will have time to relax, take a swim in the refreshing water and enjoy a tasty juice. The beach is especially well known for its great snorkeling. You can rent equipment at the reception by the beach.

We then return in the afternoon to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Today you have the full day to enjoy the hotel grounds and the private beach. You can go for a lovely walk along the beach, enjoy a good book, take in the fantastic views and fresh sea air. Make sure not to miss the beautiful sunset.

After breakfast you will continue your journey to the colonial town Cartagena. You will drive for around 6 hours along the coastline with some incredible views until you reach the walled city. You will arrive before sunset and we recommend to head to the wall to enjoy the views and a cold drink.

Today, you will discover the historical center (the walled city), Getsemaní, Manga and Bocagrande by bike. The tour starts in the historical center: you will ride by all the main attractions and landmarks and will stop several times in order for you to take pictures and listen to your guide’s stories about Cartagena. The tour goes on to Getsemaní, the neighborhood where Florentino Ariza lived. He’s the main character in the worldwide known novel Love in the time of Cholera that is written by Colombian Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez.

Then, you will go across the Roman Bridge, towards Manga. You will pass the beautiful Villa Roman and then visit the cemetery of Manga, the oldest cemetery in Cartagena. You continue along the seafront to Bocagrande. Due to the skyline and the North American impact, Bocagrande is a popular point of interest for international tourists. It is also called “Little Miami”. After visiting the new part of Cartagena, you will finish the tour in the city center.

You have time in the afternoon to explore the city on your own.

Your guide will bring you to the harbour for your shared boat ride of 2 hours to the island Mucura.

You will have the day off to enjoy the beach, explore the island or read a book.

You will have two days of full relaxation. You can stroll along the white sandy beach, swim in crystal clear water and spot colourful fish while snorkeling.

After breakfast you will take the shared boat back to Cartagena. You will arrive around lunch time and will have the opportunity to discover the city on your own. There are many amazing restaurants and shops to be discovered.
